Pack 451 Pinewood Derby
Who?
Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos are
divided by rank. The three fastest cars in each rank are
given awards and race in the Pack Finals where trophies are
awarded to the three fastest cars. Additionally each rank
is awarded one "Best in Show" award. The more creative the
car ... the better.
Hot dogs and snacks will be sold.
When?
Saturday, January 21, 2012
Weigh-In Starts at
8:00am
Tigers Race - 8:30 - 9:30am
Wolves Race - 9:30-10:30am
Bears Race - 10:30-11:30am
Webelos I Race -
11:30am-12:30pm
Webelos II Race -
12:30pm-1:00pm
Kids of All Ages Race - 12:45PM
One last chance for graphite right before the final heat.
Finals Start at
1:00PM
Todd, graphite your car at 12:30PM. No Excuses This Year.
Racers can register
their cars any time up to the time of their particular race.
Please make sure to have your car registered prior to your race
time. All cars must stay in the church up at the head
table until their race time.
The top three cars
from each rank will then race in the finals. Only these
cars must remain in the church between races. Additional
graphite may be applied just before the finals.
Who Builds The Car?
The Scout should build his own car with appropriate parental supervision! Parents may enter their own car in the Kids of All Ages race.
I Need HELP?
Todd Atkinson and Jim Preble have
generously offered the use of their garages and tools for anyone
who needs help or guidance building their cars.

Can I enter more
than one car?
Any scout that wants
to enter one car to race and one more "creative" car to be
judged only for the "Best of Show" category may do so.
Anything Else?

Race day is always a big party.
Ask your parents to help you do a search for "Pinewood Derby" on
the Internet. You'll find all kinds of useful information and
pictures of really cool cars.
